We’ve cracked the code to getting an Olympiad gold. A bootcamp in NTU led by experts from NTU’s College of Computing & Data Science proved to be pivotal for Singapore’s teams at the first ever AI Olympiad in Bulgaria. The two teams, made up of eight students from NUS High School, Nanyang Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic and Temasek Polytechnic, claimed two of the four awarded gold medals in the Olympiad’s scientific round for their problem-solving know-how in natural language processing, machine learning and computer vision. NTU’s young charges credited the NTU training, saying it introduced them to new AI concepts. Some are also keen to study at NTU in future.
