6 ways to keep in touch with NTU

Graduation is just the start of a new phase of your journey with NTU. Here’s how you can stay connected to your alma mater and find even more support for your aspirations

1. Tap career experts

It’s a tough job market out there, partner, but we’ve got your back. Buff your CV and job hunting strategy with career coaches at NTU’s Career Attachment Office. Have your eye on a specific role but not sure what it really entails? Go from noob to pro with career consultants who have the inside scoop on which companies are hiring, when they are hiring and what their screening processes are.

2. Don’t be a stranger

Join your school’s or club’s alumni association and stay on top of the latest developments from NTU with the News To yoU newsletter and with U, NTU’s alumni magazine, which are filled with inspiring stories and handy tips for alum. And if you need an excuse to visit us, mark your calendars for the annual Alumni Homecoming on 19 October and bring your friends and family down for a day of free food and games.

3. Help your juniors

Congrats on becoming a grad. Now put your experience to the best use by sharing it with your juniors. Come back to coach your former hall sports team or become a mentor to students participating in competitions. If you have a niche skill or an interesting professional path, consider giving a talk or webinar; get in touch with the Office of Alumni Engagement or your school.

4. Take your next degree at NTU

There’s no better time to take your master’s degree with a 10% discount on course fees for NTU alumni. Plus, you’ll get a S$5,000 subsidy if you’re a Singapore citizen or permanent resident, and up to another $5,000 more if you’re eligible for financial aid. As an alumnus, you also have $1,600 worth of course credits that can cover up to 50% of fees for courses, including flexible modules that stack towards a master’s degree, programmes that lead to graduate and specialist certificates, and others designed to help you pivot to growing sectors.

5. Chase your entrepreneurial dreams

If bringing your ideas to market is in your plan, NTU’s Innovation & Entrepreneurship ecosystem can support you at every stage of your journey. Begin with the free-for-alumni NTU Entrepreneurship & Startup Training programme that helps you to develop your concept. After this, it’s time to create a prototype and build your company, drawing on NTU’s connections, including a rich alumni network of mentors, venture capitalists and angel investors, and a team that can provide administrative and advisory support. It’s been four years since an NTU startup became a unicorn – will yours be the next one?

6. Stay active and fit

Bring your family to the NTU@one-north campus in Buona Vista for a workout at the gym or the pool, which alum can use as members for as little as $10.90 per month.
